Debi, I am related to the BEECHLER's through my mother. I know my Beechler's came through New York & Pennsylvania & possibly through Ohio and on to Indiana, where I live. Some of the Beechler's born in Indiana also migrated to other states. My 2nd great grandfather was Joseph BEECHLER b. in Indiana in 1842. I do not know the names of his parents, but I believe he had three sisters, Elizabeth, Mary and Martha and a brother, James. What line is your BEECHLER family? Connie Kallner Fausset - I also have Kallner relatives in Scioto Co., OH. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debi Beechler" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, January 03, 2003 9:22 AM Subject: [OHSCIOTO] Genealogy > I am searching for the family of Beechler/Beichler/Beuchler and would like to be put on your mailing list thanks > > > --------------------------------- > Do you Yahoo!? > Yahoo! I recently subscribed to a civil war database and I am willing to do free lookups in this database: BUT FIRST please follow these guidelines. The guidelines are necessary to prevent the requests from becoming overwhelming and running a muck. 1. Please go to: http://www.civilwardata.com/genealgy.html and click on the PERSONNEL link to see if the person you are looking for is shown. If so then e-mail me at [email protected] with all provided information and I will forward any other data that is stored in the database. Please include the row #. 2. Please limit your request to two soldiers. 3. I will not do multiple lookups with soldiers with the same Given/Surnames. It's up to up to decide which soldier is your ancestor. 4. If you are clueless to whom your ancestor may be then please think about using $10 trial version. 5. And most of all please limit your e-mail to your requests only. Please refrain from sending your family history or lengthy dialogs. It's a waste of your and my time. HINT: Should there be more than one soldier for that name then please make a guess at which on you think it might be first. Enlistment ages are given and this would be the starting place for searching. If you known your ancestor was 19 at the time then there would be no use in searching all of those names over that age. I hope someone can help me with this one. I have tried looking in the 1910 census and the George and Mary(Bryant) Phillips family doesn't seem to be there but in the 1900 census they show up as having two kids, Russell and Mary. I don't think they moved to Cincinnati til after 1910 so they should show up in the Scioto Co. census. He worked in the shoe factory and she was at home. How can I find out where they were and if they had more kids? Does anyone do lookups in the city directories? Maybe I can narrow down when they left Portsmouth if I could see when they disappeared from the directories...? Is there a list of births in that ten year span that is alphabetical? I would appreciate any help. Thanks Pam
Hi! My Uncle Raymond's aunt was Mary C. Kemp GALANAUGH. Her daughter was Agnes who married Eugene O. ROE, who died at Pearl Harbor. Here are a couple of bits from the web: http://www.sciotocountyohio.com/miaii.htm WWII Deaths Scioto County [Ohio] Deaths: 290 [One of them was] Eugene O. ROE http://www.nps.gov/usar/PHcas.html USS Tennessee BB-43, Battleship Eugene O. Roe, Sea1c I am already on the total fringe of the family tree asking about this couple, but I am curious if anyone knows of them? Once again, their names were: Eugene O. & Agnes Galanaugh ROE, and the time frame would be about 1920's-40's in Scioto (after coming from Philadelphia). Thanks, Vince Summers
