Looking for obit on Harry Coldiron died 1/30/2003. I would appreciate help on getting this obit. Thanks, Marlene
Hi Marlene, There is a death notice for Harry Coldiron in the www.portsmouth-dailytimes.com This site doesn't seem to publish full obits on the internet. (Harry Coldiron, 54 of West Portsmouth died Thursday Jan 30,2003 at Southern Ohio Medical Center). I have found that the www.communitycommon.com does publish full obits on the internet but as of this morning the most recent posted is to Jan 23rd. I would keep checking the Community Common. This is NOT a complaint, but I was wondering if there's any way to NOT send a copy of the e-mail that you're answering. The posts re CyNdi's list was miles long and each message had a copy of the original. Just wondering... Joan
Ha ha ha! Hanky-Panky College? We tried it in college but weren't allowed to major in it, and now there's a college just for that? I was born too soon! (Just a little chuckle there for the serious-minded genealogists.) Kathy
Kathy, Weren't allowed to major in it? That is a cute one! I think it was offering videos. I am searching for Spragues in this county of Ohio. Any one out there with Sprague history? You can do so by going to: http://www.genexchange.org/us.cfm Find the state and county your ancestor lived and scroll to the civil war link and add the data that I sent to you to this database. The best way to return an act of genealogical kindness is by sharing the the data with others. Hello Fellow Listers! We wanted to post a short message asking for help in gathering more information on several families from the Scioto area. We would like to compile as much as we can on Tieman, Wiseman, Allen, Dorst, Burt and Jones. The Allen family we are trying to trace would be that of George Allen (d: 8/9/1959) and wife Sarah (d: 9/6/1955) who had 12 children - George Gedion, Sarah Hardin Hilliard, Esta Mae, Effie Belle, William Francis, Pearl Clifford, Carl, Mary Kathryn, Ethel Louise, James LeRoy, Cecil Edward, and Erma Margorie Allen. This is my husband's family and we would like to gather what we can, especially on the Wiseman side. If any of these names sound familar, please contact us. We can handle GEDCOM files if that is easier to share information. Thank You!
