It would be great if you could send me and or the list some of the names of your HAAG ancestors from Avon Lake. I would really like to see what you have so far and compare the names. That's ok with me. We share the same HAAGS. I just wonder if it could be possible that one or more of our HAAGS may have reverted back to the original "HAAG" surname. Our mutual progenitor, Hans Jerg Haag, arrived in the port of Philadelphia on 7 Sept 1748 on the ship Hampshire, accompanied by his wife and six children. Some of those children have yet to be identified as I understand it. Perhaps one of them escaped the Americanizing of the HAAG name (changed to HAWK), or, after leaving Pennsylvania could have reverted back to the name they had been given. Just a thought.
