J.W. Powell (born Nov. 5, 1836) was a United Brethren minister and supposedly was a farmer and an owner of a general store, perhaps in Burgoon. Family stories also mention a bank in Fostoria. I would like to learn anything about his ministry and whether he actually farmed, ran a store or was associated with a bank. Further, would like information relating to his children. He married Catharine Hostler Dec. 24, 1857, supposedly in Sandusky County. One census mentioned that John Wesley and Catharine had 6 children. I know of three that lived into their senor years - Sylvia Powell Kenan (Sandusky County), Emma Powell Holman (Seneca and Hancock Counties), and Mary Catharine Powell Mann (Hancock Counties). I believe there were up to three more children, at least one of whom was likely a female and married to a Klotz, as my grandmother's cousin's last name was Klotz. Thanks in advance for any assistance. Irma
