I came across this information during my research for the Thomas JACKSON in my line: THOMAS JACKSON Age: 22 Status: ENLISTED Date: 9/10/1861 Place: SANDUSKY COUNTY, OHIO Company: D Regiment: 3 State of Regt: OHIO Term: 3YR Branch: CAVALRY Rank In: PRIVATE Rank Out: PRIVATE Disposition: DISCHARGED,DISABLED Date(s): 08/30/1862 Notes: In my line, I have a Thomas JACKSON son of William JACKSON and Minerva KEENAN (KENAN) of Sandusky Co OH who appears to have been born about 1851, and may have been to young to participate in the Civil War. He almost certainly wasn't this same Thomas JACKSON who was 22 at the time. Just thought I would pass this info along in case it could help you to order his military records or pension information.
