OH in 1880?? Searching for infomation about James Elder who marrried 1877 to Laura Hartsock in Kosciusko Co. IN. Laura was b.c.1853 in Whitley Co. IN. Searched census to no avail and only one found was a James and Laura Elder in Clyde. James and Laura (Hartsock) Elder had children: Fred, Maud, John and Lucy. (listed as such in family records NFI) No idea about identity of James Elder. Laura Hartsock's paternal grandmother was Sarah Elder. [her parent's were Isaac Hartsock -b.OH and Eliza Adams b.NY] The match in the 1880 census isn't the greatest for parent's place of birth.
