Hi Sandy, Have you ever checked out Gendis? Here is the site: http://www.mdch.state.mi.us/gendis/search.htm After you click on click here, just put in the last name and see if you know any of these Cooleys. I don't know about sanilac county but here in Huron county there lives 3 Cooley families. You can go to this site and type in the last name and over on the right put the search on MI and you will find 344 Cooley families that were on social security in MI. I have a paid membership in this program and can see that there were many Cooley's in the census reports for Sanilac County. http://www.ancestry.com/ Ron [email protected] Researching: HAHN, KLING, MITCHEL-L EDLER & BOLZMANN Genealogy ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandy McDougall <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, February 27, 2000 3:42 AM Subject: MADISON/YORK TWPs > Hello All, > > My lost family here in Sandusky County was scattered to the winds. > > According to Pension Records: > > Charles COOLEY died about 1855 and his wife Mahailey about 1851. > > I have located three children who were "guardianed/farmed out?", two in > York Twp and one in Madison Twp. > > >From what I can ascertain there were about six children: > Reuben COOLEY > Loren/Louel COOLEY > Susan COOLEY > Samuel COOLEY > James COOLEY > Ella COOLEY > Dell/Della COOLEY > > I found Samuel age 6 living with the family of Joseph STEVENSON in York > Twp. in 1850 Census; Susan age 8 living with the family of William SAYONE > in York Twp also in 1850.
