    3. Hello All, My lost family here in Sandusky County was scattered to the winds. According to Pension Records: Charles COOLEY died about 1855 and his wife Mahailey about 1851. I have located three children who were "guardianed/farmed out?", two in York Twp and one in Madison Twp. >From what I can ascertain there were about six children: Reuben COOLEY Loren/Louel COOLEY Susan COOLEY Samuel COOLEY James COOLEY Ella COOLEY Dell/Della COOLEY I found Samuel age 6 living with the family of Joseph STEVENSON in York Twp. in 1850 Census; Susan age 8 living with the family of William SAYONE in York Twp also in 1850. I found James in 1860* living with the family of Casper WHITING in Madison Twp. James, on his pension application stated his mother died when he was about 5 years old and his father when James was about 9. I know Reuben, Louel/Loren and Susan were born in New York, Samuel in Ohio and James states he was born in Sandusky Co. On the Sandusky Census Index there is shown a Charles COOLEY living in Green Creek, Sandusky COunty. Page 427. I have looked at two seperate films and on neither is there a page 427..it just sort of skips over it. I have not been able to verify this Charles living in 1850. At least two children are living with other families........this may be due to the death of the Mother. ANY clues about this family will be so gratefully received!!!!!! Thanks so much, Sandy (in Alaska) I have just sent to Fremont to try and find probate records for Charles or his wife Mahailey. [email protected]
