My sister lives in Grove City and works for Ohio State. Both she and my brother-in-law worked at OSU, but Leon got laid off. My daughter currently lives in Galloway. My husband's stepgranddaughter lives in Grove City as well. Small world. My daughter works for a travel agency in Hilliard. She is moving not too far from where she and her daughter live now, but her address will be Columbus. If you are interested in the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, there is a Tent in Lancaster. I know most of the ladies in the area. I have met most of them at a Department meeting. They are all nice ladies. We are not all into our senior years yet, but getting there. The Daughters are for any gal age 8 years of age on up who can prove lineal descent to a Union veteran of the Civil War. My daughter is coming up Saturday to join our Tent. If you are ever planning to come up into this area and go searching for your grandfathers' info, e-mail me and maybe we can do lunch. Keep in touch. Thanks. Janett
Hello, My mom who is 84 years of age is the great granddaughter of Uriah Mitchell of Lindsey, Sandusky, Ohio. I would sure like to honor her with being a member of the Daughters of the Union Veterans, would this be possible!! Uriah served till the end of the war.
