Meyer, son of John C. Meyer was married to Mary Rosina Snyder, daughter of Francis Xavier Schneider and Anna Maria Rimmelspacher. We have gone to the Meyer-Schmitz Reunion at Vickery, in the past years. Do you, or any of your older relatives go? I have met John V. Gonya, who I believe is a near relative to you. Matt Park has his family tree up here, and I have given him our line. Elisabeth S. Schmitz was born Nov. 14 1823. If you are write about Mary Oberly, then her Father remarried after Elisabeth's Mother died in 1848. I didn't know about the civil war involvement. Would John C. have been involved, AFTER bearing all of those children? As to Charles Beier (b. 1854), he appears to be a second cousin, once removed, decended through the Schneider Family. I had him married to a Mary Chud, rather than Schmitz. Perhaps there are 2 Charles' or a second marriage? Write me if you like, I am somewhat concerned about sending to the "BobMar! ley" address.
