Hi Mary Jane ! I'm a descendent of Albert Witscher and second wife Pauline Becker. Albert Witscher and son Charles, wife Pauline and a new baby Josefa (=my mother) went from Germany to the US in May 1904. The ship's passengers list / manifest shows the family: Albert, Pauline, Charles and Josefa as US residents. No wonder! Albert returned rather than emigrated to the US. In may 1904, Albert is 49 yrs and 6 months (born 1854?) Charles is 14 yrs(born 1890 ?) Pauline is 41 yrs ( born 1863?).My mother Josefa is 8 months (born 1903) I've been searching for kin to Charles, not knowing of other brothers and a sister until I came across the messages. Who can and will help me any further??

I have some notes from my Grandmother, but would like additional information. The information I have shows William (from England) Birth- unknown Death- 1823. Wife - Susan (a native girl - OH or PA). William and Susan had a son Levi (1814-1905), a daughter Betsey Chard Shaffer, and another son Thomas (1819-1872). I don't believe that is a complete list of their children. I also suspect William had at least 2 brothers, James (1799-?) and David (1800ish-?). I have a photocopy of an 1870 census that shows Thomas' father as being of foreign birth, so that ties in with William being from England. Thanks.
