Mary's father was Wesley Rice, my grandfather's brother. She died in Helena on December 26, 1981 and is buried in Metzgar Cemetery. I am hoping to find some of her children still in the area if she and Wilson had any. Perhaps Wilson Peck is still living there. Also, noticed there is a Rice township. Which branch of the Rice family is this named for? Thanks Will Smith !^NavFont02F028F0007NGHHI919CDF

To: [email protected] MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 4.0 for Windows 95 sub 9 I have not figured out where, but you are climbing in my family tree. I have just had the shock of my life to see those names come up. You mentioned a George Geeseman that was married to a Mary M. That is all I have on Mary, at this time. George had a son, John that married a Mary Deal. He is my 3rd great grandfather. The interesting thing is.....Mary's parents were David Deal and Mary Overmyer. (by our family's spelling). Mary Deal was born in Perry Co., Oh in 1821. She died in Fremont in 1892. (Sandusky Co..) My history is very sketchy on this part of the family, but I also have where George was born somewhere in PA in 1781 and died in Sandusky Co. in 1844. John F. Geeseman was born in PA, in 1843 in Franklin or Union Co. This all boils up to the BAUM surname. I have a lot of info on George Geeseman, but do not have the last name of his wife. I do know that she is (by the paperwork handed down to me) buried in the Washington Chapel Cem, in Washington Twp, Sandusky Co., Ohio. The paper shows her dates as b/24april1788 and d/24nov1848. That was by calculation from the tombstone. It shows she died November 24,1848 at the age of 60years and 7 months. I have paperwork that shows that no marriages were recorded in Sandusky Co. for Juliann, who the family called Annie. It also mentions a Jean Davis has a picture of Annie. I will try to find out who this Jean Davis is and I will also try to go deeper with this, now that I know I am not alone in the search. I guess this makes us cousins!!!!!! 1. Need look-up
    2. My gr-grandfather Joel Overmier was married to Julia Ann Geeseman. Both were born in Perry Co., I am assuming that they were married in Perry Co. on June 29, 1845, but one source says they were married in Sandusky Co. I am interested in the surname of Julia's mother. Her father was George Geeseman and mother was Mary M. - no surname given. One of the problems will be the variations in the spelling of Geeseman/Gieseman/Gieesman/Gussman, etc. Did Ohio keep marriage records in 1845? Julia was born 6/22/1826 in Perry Co. and Joel Overmier was born 3//4/1822 in Perry Co. If there is no one to help me, can anyone suggest a source I can contact by email, for instance a library that might have the information and would do a lookup? Thanks in advance.
