Hi Mary Lou, Thanks for thinking of me. My g-grandfather, Perry Wells, was married three times. His first wife was Pearly Ball. I don't know what became of Pearly. His second wife, Mamie, was my g-grandmother. She and Perry's son Henry died of diphtheria. Perry's third wife's name was Effie May. Effie May had apparently been married once before her marriage to Perry because she had at least three children, Hollis Pfaff, Gertrude Crane, and Laurel Pfaff. I don't know Effie May's maiden name. I have thought about trying to track down the Pfaff family in the hope that they have some record of Perry. I am curious why my family never mentioned the Pfaffs. They would have been my grandfather's step brothers and sister. My list of questions is growing at a far faster rate than my list of answers. At any rate, the Pery Wells that you have located may be a mere coincidence or he may have been a relative of my Perry Wells. If I have my Ohio geography right, Mercer and Auglaize Counties are near Henry County. I am still trying to figure out why my g-grandfather, Perry, moved from Clyde, Ohio to Henry County and what the connection is, if any, between Perry Wells and Levi Wells. Your Perry Wells may could have been a cousin or nephew of my Perry Wells. ????????? Take care, George Wells Sylvania, Ohio ps - I am also posting this message to the Sandusky County and the Wells lists in case anyone recognizes any of the names.
