Does anyone know the list of people killed during the Revolutionary War at Crawfords Defeat which was fought around the Sanduskty River area? My William Hall had stated in Levi House's pension application that they both fought at Crawfords Defeat and he (William) had several relations that were killed there.
This is one of the many reasons to perform a back up. There is an undelete utility for all of the WIN operating systems but you had to make sure you terminated Netscape by killing the application and not exiting and you did absolutely nothing that would cause the system to perform another write to the disk. If these precautions were not taken then there is a 90% chance the file was written over. Associates who work at NSA in Greenbelt Maryland have a utility that reads recently written over data but it costs about $5000 to get them to recover it. In the SANDUSKY COUNTY OHIO LANDOWNERS ATLAS 1860 there are eleven listings of Grovers; C., Enos, H., J., O., Oliver, O. & S., a couple of P.'s and a S. and a T. In another book, SANDUSKY COUNTY OHIO INDEX TO WILLS ESTATES & GUARDIANSHIPS 1820-1900 Enos, Margaret, Oliver and Stephen are shown. Most interestingly, though, is that in the ILLUSTRATED HISTORICAL ATLAS OF OTTAWA COUNTY, OHIO 1874 A.M. Grover appears. Could this be Aaron?? On Pg. 25 he is listed as a suscriber. A.M. Grover Post Office---Catawba Island Move to County---1846 From---New York Business---Grape Grower & Farmer Residence---Catawba Island On Pg. 44 is a detailed map of Catawba Island showing that he owned about 13 acres just S/W of Ottawa City. Good morning to all, Please forgive this "group" message! Have had some health problems this past week, but wanted to thank each and all of you for your help with my elusive MEAD/POTTER families. One very little and *NOT DOCUMENTED* source shows Martha "Patty" (POTTER) MEAD as the daughter of: Stephen POTTER, b. abt 1741, Dartmouth, MA and wife Bridget (ALLEN) POTTER (no further info) Has anyone by chance ever heard of these folks? Would welcome any clue, no matter how small :-)))) Thank you in advance for your help. Regards, Carolyn Carter Johnson (mailto:[email protected]) Palo Alto, CA
