Hi Everyone, I'm just dropping you a note to let you know that I am going to take a couple of days for me then start back in on everything. Thanks for the Happy New Years and birthday wishes. Maggie
Hello to all you other Sandusky County Researchers. I just this evening got some new info from an email friend - YIPEE - on my family in Sandusky Co. The new info brings a new surname into the story. I have Elizabeth BROWN (a widow), b. ca 1837, living in Townsend Township with her daughter, Lucy, b. ca. 1872 IL, and Lucy's husband, William H. HALL. They should be on the 5 acre farm that Elizabeth inherited in 1891 from her father, William ROBERTSON. The HALL surname is a new one in my research. My question, is anyone familiar with this couple - Lucy and William - or just where this might have been in Townsend Township??? Any help greatly appreciated. I am hoping to connect with a living, breathing, walking around cousin in this line one of these days so I can fill in some blanks. -- Candy_B [email protected] Researching Bennett, Cooper, Vanderveer, Woolley & related families in NJ Researching O'Brien, Brown, Boyle, Cavanaugh, Noonan, Fitzgerald, Spellman, Messier (Macey), LaCroix (Cross), Blais (Blair), Durand, Simonneau, Chabbot (Jabbot, Jabaut), Boucher, Sharron and related families in NY, New England and Quebec
Hi, I have one person researching the Deemer family. They are also working on the Stults family. They are: Mr. & Mrs. John Hutchinson, 2124 St. Rt. 300, Gibsonburg, Ohio, 43431. Grace's maiden name was Stults and I believe she is into Genealogy. No one on the Seigfried or Rideout family. Maybe Grace knows them. Hi, Yes there is still a Ludwig cemetery on the west side of Fremont. It has both Catholic and Protestant graves. It is on Rt. l2. It was the first cemetery for St Joseph Parish but it was too far out on mud roads so St. Joes started another cemetery also on Rt. l2. If you want to know more about this I suggest you e-mail Pres. Hayes Library at [email protected] or Shirley Halbeisen [email protected] Good luck Eleanor Kiser Maggie Stewart wrote: > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[email protected]> > To: <[email protected]> > Sent: Wednesday, January 12, 2000 12:28 AM > Subject: Sandusky County > > I have been unable to locate Ludwig Cemetery. I have found a postcard picturing the store which was on Rt6, next to Riley School. There is a woman standing next to the building and, if this was Oscar's wife, then the picture was taken before 1954, as my dad moved to Riley Township in that year and the wife had passed on before that time. The picture has one Gulf gas pump and an old Gulf gas sign. Dad says that Oscar had slot machines in the rear of the store and that was how he made his money. (Gambling was legal in Ohio back then) Does anyone have any stories to tell me about Oscar and his store? My mother was a Pasch and her mother's maiden name was Plagman.
