    3. My apologies to all of those that had repeats of this same message. Because my folks are spread out all over the country, I felt it was necessary to connect with all of the counties of Ohio. I did not understand that I would get such unfriendly mail from some people. Some of them were helpful. After reviewing the Acceptable policy use at rootsweb, I did not see anything about mass mailings. If one exists would you please direct me to that? Because of my limited access to information, the Internet is all I have. I am not able to get to many locations people have suggested. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/WZB.2ACI/555.1.3.3.1 Message Board Post: Kathy, I don't know if I told you this in my last posting, but the Keefe's are all buried at the same cemetery, they have a large combination headstone there. Several years ago I went to the cemetery and literally came across their stones by accident (I knew they were there, but as I approached the old part of the cemetery, there was the headstone, 5 feet from the cemetery lane. St Ann's church used to be the old Irish parish, and the stained glass windows have names of both Keefe and O'Connor on them, all my ancestors, as my Keefe, married an O'Connor. My Keefes were Martin and Mary, who died very young 8 and 10 years after coming here to the USa. Have you found anything over in Ireland? They are apparently from the parish of Duagh in county Kerry, but I did not find anything at the church of LDS, but didn't work really hard either. When I was at that cemetery and church, I took photos of the gravestones and stained glass windows. My photos are many and stored fairly haphaz! ardly in several large boxes. If I locate them, I could send you photos. Where do you live? Let me know if you want me to email you privately rather than take up so much space here. If you have anything you know about your Keefes I am all ears. Mine supposedly came on one of the cholera ships into Quebec and lost two children on board ( this info was obtained from a large article I found at the Hayes since my O'Connor was a very prominent citizen and he and Margaret Keefe made the papers on their 50th wedding anniversary. If your family came in via Quebec and you know the name of the ship, I will have more than I have right now. Glad I could help. Keep in touch. By the way, Fremont is about 50 miles from my house and easy to get to. Diane

I have Samsel's in my line, the spelling of the two names did change at some point, don't remember when, but my Gr.Aunt Ida Sorena Singer married a Frank Samsel and they also lived in Mansfield. They are buried along with many other Sampsel's and Samsel's in Blooming Grove, Twp. Richland, Oh, Shenanoah Cemetery in a area west of Ashland, OH. I have several names if your interested, but my most recent are 1949 births. None of the names you have written down match, but that's not to say your line might of been from a brother or uncle. I understand there were many families there, and it looked like it at the cemetery. One of Ida's granddaughter's went to Fremont in Sandusky Co, and as far as I know still lives there. Myrna

I think his parents were Francis age 35 yrs and Mary age 31 both born in Ireland. It looks like there is another branch with Martin and another Mary ages 44 and 40 respectively. Which branch are you descended from? I think the children; Hannah age 9, Edmond age 5, Emiline age 3 and Wm. age 1 are my branch. Thanks for letting me know about the R.B. Hayes Library. Ken was married to his mother. Ken had 2 or 3 brothers, one was named Russell. We don't remember the others. They grew up in Shelby or Galion. But they lived in Mansfield, OH later on. Ken had a daughter Shirley Sampsel who graduated from Mansfield Senior High in probably 1967 or 1968. We gave her the Sampsel family Bible when Ken died. There was a Dewey Sampsel who was married to Ruth Keller, they had a daughter who was a cousin to Rick's mother as his mother was the daughter of Ethel Keller Norris. Ken was a nephew of Dewey Sampsel. Ken was born in 1926. I know there were other Sampsel's in Mansfield as Shirley said some went to the same church as she did. She has married and last I heard she lived in Connecticut but she had two sons and one was still in Mansfield and the other in Columbus. Ken had one son by my husbands mother, John Thomas, born in 1957. He lives in Texas. That is pretty much what we know. Sorry, Kathy
