In reading through old religious newspaper issues that circulated in Ohio dating to the 1840's, I came across a notice of what was referred to as the "Logan Historical Society" which I think from reading this was in Ross County in Chillicothe. Can anyone clarify whether that was the case? I know there was a Logan County higher up in Ohio, and wonder if it had some connection with that. It seems strange that already by the 1840's there would be an historical society in any area of Ohio, since Ohio had not yet been settled that long yet. Richard
