Pike Co. OH. James Isaac b. 11 Apr. 1844 and Irenous b. 1831. Irenous may have been called Remus. On the 1860 census James and Irenous were living next door to each other in Jackson Twp. Pike Co. Oh. James Isaac married in Pike Co. OH but he was not on the 1850 census with his parents. Please can any one help me solve this riddle. One theory I have is, were their parents could have been victims of a Small Pox epidemic that occurred in Pike Co. in 1837 taking one third of the population. I have considerable genealogy written by James Isaac's children that seems to indicate that none of them ever met or knew anything about their MILLER grandparents. I have included Ross and Jackson Co's since county boundaries were moved around a lot in the early days.
