Dear Listers, Would someone be going to the probate court in Chillicothe in the near future? Was it common place for someone to be buried in a county, other than the one they died in? How far is Chillicothe from Ironton? Would the body have been taken to a funeral home in Chillicothe and then transferred to a funeral home in Ironton? I have assumed for quite sometime that, because my Boyce family was buried in Ironton, that they must have died in Lawrence County. Now, because of receiving an obit for one of my Boyce family, I know that they lived in Chillicothe, OH. I am looking for Dennis Boyce who died on March 17, 1887 and his wife, first name is unknown, who died on November 30, 1881. I would deeply appreciate some help with this. I am on the west coast and so do not have ready access to info in Ohio. Happy New Year!! Anne
