Does anyone know if this Ella Crites may have been the same person as Ellie Crites (the daughter of Rebecca Kepler and Jacob Crites, Jr.) Rebecca Kepler was a daughter of Emery Hall Kepler. I was wondering if anyone might have any information on this Ella Crites? Or John Newland. I am trying to piece together information on the Kepler and Newland families intermarriages and found the marriage of Ella Crites interesting and maybe a clue. At present, I have that Mary J. Kepler (daughter of Jacob and Hannah Kepler) marrried Richard Newland in Ross County, Ohio in 1868. This couple had a child named Hall Newland and moved to Manton, Michigan prior to 1880. Richard Newland had a brother named Robert Newland who also moved to Manton, Michigan. Hannah Livingood Kepler, Mary Kepler Newland's mother, died in Manton, Michigan in 1879. I next have Emery Hall Kepler (son of Jacob and Hannah Kepler) married Martha Ann Newland in 1875 in Ross County, Ohio. And then I have Jacob C. Kepler (son of Jobe Dibbler Kepler) married Dora Marie Newland in 1919 in Ross County, Ohio. Considering the above information, I was wondering if anyone has figured out just how the Newland family ties into the Kepler family. I have a copy of an 1875 atlas of Ross County, Ohio that shows a Newland family owns land at Potts Hill, near Bainbridge, Ohio. Would appreciate any thoughts or ideas on the above.
