He was enlisted by Lieut. Kercheval and was assigned to Capt. D. Cushings Co. he was later assigned to Lieut. Morgans Co.and still later Benjamin K. Pierce's co. It seems from his record that he mainly served in the MI area during the War, Detroit and Michilimackinac from 1812 -1817. He married Mable Taylor or Tyler, where ???
