I suppose everything that I wanted to know was posted last week! I am looking for McKENZIE / McKINZIE / McKINSEY roots in Ross County in the 1810 - 1820 time range. Isabel McKENZIE married Ezra LUCAS in PA in 1811. Their first child was born later the same year in Buckskin Twp, Ross Co. Jane McKENZIE married Daniel LUCAS in 1817 in Ross County. The LUCASes purchased property in Madison Twp, Highland Co in 1831 and 1832. I don't know if Isabel and Jane were related. But, the coincidence of their names makes me consider that possibility. Another coincidence may have meaning. Hugh McKINSEY was in the vicinity at the same time. In fact, he is enumerated in the 1820 and 1830 censuses as a neighbor of the LUCASes. Hugh McKINSEY remained in Ross Co after the LUCASes moved to Highland. I would appreciate any guidance with my specific McKENZIE ladies or with Hugh McKENZIE's roots.
