He was the son of "Bun" Archer. My grandfather, Lester Archer was the son of Effie Nicley Archer and either Bun Archer or Charlie Archer, who was Bun's brother. I believe that his father was Bun, making him a half-brother to Russell. I cannot find any records or persons to document this, but Effie had Bun's picture among her effects when she passed away. She used the name Effie Archer when she married a second time to John Hill. I have traced this Archer family back to the 1700's in Pennsylvania and would gladly share that information.
