JUST POSTING THE OBITUARY ON MARY HARPER RECTOR FROM XENIA (OH) DAILY GAZETTE 12/26/06 Mary Harper Rector, 97, a resident of Trinity of Beavercreek, OH passed away on December 21, 2006 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. She was born January. 9, 1909, in Ross County, the oldest child of Herbert and Pearl (Stone) Harper. Mary attended the Ohio State University and graduated from Wittenberg University in 1954 with a degree in education. A lifetime resident of London, OH, she taught school for 35 years in Madison County and Franklin County. She was a life member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the Madison County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of London. She was a student of the bible and enjoyed teaching adult Sunday school. She was also a long time member of the Madison County Historical Society and the London Business and Professional Women. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Waldo in 2000; brothers, Herbert Jr. and John; sisters, Margaret and Dorothy and son in-law Robert John! ston. She is survived by daughters and sons in-law; Rachel and William Jackson of Valparaiso, IN, Romaine and John Drury of Upper Arlington, OH, Hedy Johnston of Binghamton, NY, Marilyn and Dr. Russell Hackett of Beavercreek, OH; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Harriette Kramp of Toledo, OH and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday December. 28, 2006 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd.. Interment Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, OH. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
