Hello, I saw your posting and would like to know more about your Lucas family. I am aware of Several Lucas families who arrived in Ross / Highland Counties during your time frame. One was from Maryland by way of Greene Co, PA. A second family was from Massachusetts through Washington Co, PA. And, I believe the third (Governor Lucas) was from Virginia. I don't find a Abraham Lucas in the bunch! Mine was the one from Washington Co, PA. Ezra Lucas came to Buckskin Twp, Ross Co, in 1811. His brother, Daniel, arrived a few years later. Other family members came to the area even later. I believe about six brothers from the Greene Co, PA family came a few years earlier than my group. And, without digging, I can't tell you when the Governor arrived. Where did your family settle?
