The genealogy conference on the 28th was a great success. I don't know what happened to delay things, since I sent out that announcement on Oct. 3. Due to a glitch in the sound system, we weren't able to tape the sessions, but are putting together a report that includes the extensive programs notes for: Carrie Eldridge's talks on immigration origins, ports of entry, and trails to the Ohio valley; Ellen Brasel's talk about the Welsh immigrants to Gallia and Jackson Co's. It will also include Henry Burkes info from his Power Point presentation on the Underground Railroad in Southeastern Ohio. It will be 70 pages if printed. It will also be available on a CD in PDF format. I will check to see if Carrie will allow us to scan and include some of the maps used in her presentation.
