No, I don't have any birth or death dates. Thomas was born in Delaware to my knowledge and Margaret in Maryland. or Ohio. Someone has sent me the images for Margaret and Thomas. They were helpful, but I don't think I am linked to them yet. Been trying to find a connection for my ggggrandmother, Elizabeth Timmons who was born in Pickaway County in 1841. The only clue I have is that on her husband's Civil War pension file she stated they lived for a spell with her uncle, Ira Taynor. Ira Taynor married a Henrietta Littleton. I would assume if Ira Taynor is her uncle, then her mother must be a Taynor. If Ira was married to a Timmons then his wife would probably have been Elizabeth's father's sister. I have not been able to find her parents anywhere. I have been trying to find any pieces that have a Timmons and Taynor marriage and have only come across 2 so far. Thomas Timmons married a Margaret Taynor and an Isaac Timmons married a Sarah Taynor. The 1850 Census for Thomas and Margaret (Taynor) Timmons doesn't list an Elizabeth. I haven't come across an 1850 census for Isaac and Sarah yet, so I may have to check other areas or in Indiana where some other family may have lived. Thanks for everyones help anyways. Daniel Wendell, who died in Huntington Twp. on 18 NOV 1850, was a great-grandson of Christophel Wendel (1717 - 1791), who was born near Framersheim, a village just northeast of Alzey, in the modern-day state of Rhein-Pfälz. Christphel, and his older brothers Valentine and Augustine, immigrated to Shenandoah Valley, VA in the 1730s. Augustine is documented on the ship "Samuel", arriving Philadelphia 17 AUG 1732. Daniel's wife was Catherine Starr -- they were married in Guernsey County 22 MAY 1817. Their son William lived in Huntington Twp. until about 1923. Daniel's headstone is in the cemetery on Denver Road, at the church cemetery. Donald L. I appreciate how much research you've put into this family. So... Sarah UNKNOWN may have married William Salts (and his birth date may be wrong) or Samuel Salts. It seems pretty clear that Sarah had one daughter, Susan Salts, that married a (Lemuel) Thompson. Sarah then must have remarried to a Seymour/Seymore. Was it Solomon or Samuel? I get confused on this issue. And finally, who were Sarah's parents? What was her maiden name? Again, I thank you for your assistance as I'm just a newby to this research. The McNeal name is interchangable with McNeil, McNiel etc on many records. My McNeal ancestors had children that are recorded later as McNeil making for confusion until research verifies them. Jerry, Yes, I am confused by the fact that there are two Thomas McNeal´s in early Ross Co. A Thomas McNeal 1781-1826 lived in Jefferson twp. and my Thomas 1801-1877 lived in Springfield twp. Henry Harrison McNeal, b. 1826 married is elusive on the 1850 census, but I finally located him. The census pages on Ancestry.com seem to be duplicated for many pages on the 1850 census making me unsure if Henry is actually in Londenderry or Liberty twp. Census, 1850 Ross Co. OH, Londonderry twp. Dist. 131, pg. 291A October (21/24) The top of the sheet says Liberty dist. 131? The Liberty census also shows Liberty district 131. Harrison McNeal 25 M farmer OH Elizabeth McNeal 23 F OH Otho F. McNeal 2 OH Henry was b. in Springfield twp. I am unsure where Elizibeth Crider was born. For reasons unknown, they married in Scott Co. Illinois in 1847and then returned to Ross Co. OH. By 1860 they are back in Scott Co. Illinois. The founding father of Frankfort, Ohio (Concord Township, Ross County) was a McNeill (I think). I'm not questioning the fact, just the spelling. A real estate broker in Frankfort, Jo Everhart, comes from this family, as does a woman named Clara Jane Roll. Both women have kids in their 50's, so they aren't young. You might want to try contacting them SOON. The RootsWitch ************************************** AOL now offers free email to everyone.
