Hello, I am looking for information on James Wilson born Virginia and died abt. 1850 in Buckskin, Ross Co., OH. He married Sarah Lee Huey and both are listed frequently in the Presbyterian Church records. They are found as early as 1799 in Buckskin. Their daughter Sarah married Archibald Hamilton who was from Kentucky and in the 1820 Census Sarah and Archibald are living in Delaware Co., OH. Any help would be appreciated. Hello, I am looking for information on James Wilson b VA and d 1850 Ross Co., OH. He married Sarah Lee Huey. I believe they both died in Buckskin, Ross Co. They settled in Buckskin about 1799 and are listed in the records of the Presbyterian Church in Buckskin as early as 1805. Their daughter Sarah married Archibald Hamilton and in the 1820 Census Sarah and Archibald are living in Delaware, OH. Any help you can give will be appreciated. I am hoping someone may have information about them. I believe Margaret is the mother of these Cliftons. They were all born in Delaware where there is a will of Obediah Smith stating his daughter, Margaret Clifton's children. Listed in the will are: Job,Benjamin,Charles,John,Judah,and Smith Clifton. Is this the Pickaway Co family? There is a Margaret Clifton age 100 in Pickaway Co OH. Who was her husband? Job Clifton married Ann VanBuskirk and Juda Clifton married John VanBuskirk, both in Ross Co before Pickaway was formed. There must be some records for these folks as they lived there for so long.
