    1. [OHROSS] Primitive Baptit Research for Ohio Counties
    2. Robert L Webb
    3. Dear List members, For several months now, we have been posting historical data about many of the Primitive Baptist churches across the northern states, to a website, which is designed in a manner to try to help students of church history and also family history researchers. We have included surnames of members as far as they are available to us, although that is only a fraction of the names we would have if all the records were available to us. A great deal of time is required to prepare lists of members, enter them in our database, correct and improve them, etc. After 15 years of such work, on a volunteer basis, we now have over 30,000 entries, and have the records at hand to greatly increase that number. If you would like to review our website, or the page for the several counties we have done work on, in Ohio state, you may go to either of the following URL addresses shown below. Please write in our Guestbooks, and let us know if you think we can help, or if you can help us, on any of the information presented. We would appreciate any help that people can provide, such as historical sketches in County histories, location of church records, photographs of meeting houses (churches), association minutes, etc. Here is our main homepage: http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/pbl.html Here is the page for Family History Assistance in Ohio (it is still in progress - not complete) http://www.carthage.lib.il.us/community/churches/primbap/FamHist-NY.html (make sure the whole line -including the ".html" at the end is intact - the URL is lengthy and tends to break down into two lines. Thank you kindly, Sincerely, Elder Robert Webb ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less! 1. [OHROSS] Re: EBENEZER FENIMORE
    2. Ebenezer Fenimore Sr. was probably buried on his own farm, Dry Run, in Ross Co., Ohio. It is believed Mary Rhett Fenimore was buried there too. (Union Township.) It's by a stream called Dry Run, on the North Fork of Paint Creek. He had 1500 acres there. I have a description of the land from his will, if you want that much information. -- Kathryn Everitt

    1. [OHROSS] Re: Carr
    2. I have Carr relatives in several places, especially south Ohio. A majority of them are in Ross, Pickaway, Allen, Union and other counties surrounding them. 1955 is a little recent for my research. Most of my research comes to about 1900 and then I have to rely on finding the live descendants of those folks. So far, I have no connections with Ashtabula. Good Luck with your research

    1. RE: [OHROSS] COOPER/McINTOSH Marriage; 1840-1860
    2. Thomas Anderson
    3. This information is from the Ross County Web Page on USGenWeb. It has transcribed marriage records. http://www.scioto.org/Ross/marriage/1789-1850/Mc.html These were the only two McIntosh listings in the 1789 to 1850 section and I did not see your names in the 1850 and later group. Their index covers 1789 to 1945. McIntosh, John McCollister, Margaret H. Oct 1, 1843 McIntosh, Josiah Smith, Mary Sep 10, 1846 If you are not close to a library with the census films or at least the index, I think the index is available on Ancestry.com and they may be having a free trial right now. There is also a book of Ross Co. marriages I'm pretty sure. Maybe someone on the list lives in that area and has access to it. Karen -----Original Message----- From: Pat Sweitzer [SMTP:[email protected]] Sent: August 11, 2001 10:59 AM To: Thomas Anderson Subject: Re: [OHROSS] COOPER/McINTOSH Marriage; 1840-1860 Karen, Actually, Helen and William had a daughter, Helen, born in 1836. So I am looking for evidence of the William and Helen (mother) marriage prior to 1836, the birth of their daughter (Helen) born in 1836, and the marriage of THE DAUGHTER to a Mr. Cooper. More accurate dates for this last marriage would be 1850-1860. I made it confusing. Yes, I need to find a census index to make it easier. This is all I know of this family unit. Thanks, Pat
