Can anyone tell me where I can purchase the Twin Twp Cemetery Book? If I remember correctly, I thought the Historical Society sold them last year. Can anyone tell me if they still do? And if so, their address? And how much the books are ... including shipping?? Thanks so much! Candy
I'm looking for John Barrett in censuses of 1870-90. He lived in Thornton, which is in Ross Co. according to the Rootsweb town finder. He was pastor of Pisgah Presbyterian church for over 30 years. I just can't find this town in either Ross or Highland. It was supposed to be 5 1/2 miles northeast of Greenfield. Any help will be appreciated. Barbara

Pike Co. OH. Irenous MILLER b. 1831 Irenous may have been called Remus. While James Isaac was born in Jackson Twp Pike Co. OH and married there he did not appear with parents on the 1850 census. Could one or both parents been victims of the 1837 epidemic of small pox. Genealogy records written by James Isaac's children appear to indicate they may have never met or knew anything about their MILLER grandparents. Any help solving this riddle will be most appreciated. I have included Ross & pike Co. lists since boundaries were moved around in the early days. Pike Co. OH. James Isaac b. 11 Apr. 1844 and Irenous b. 1831. Irenous may have been called Remus. On the 1860 census James and Irenous were living next door to each other in Jackson Twp. Pike Co. Oh. James Isaac married in Pike Co. OH but he was not on the 1850 census with his parents. Please can any one help me solve this riddle. One theory I have is, were their parents could have been victims of a Small Pox epidemic that occurred in Pike Co. in 1837 taking one third of the population. I have considerable genealogy written by James Isaac's children that seems to indicate that none of them ever met or knew anything about their MILLER grandparents. I have included Ross and Jackson Co's since county boundaries were moved around a lot in the early days.
