On my wife's side she has a relative named William M. Ballentine b. 1866 who's father, James Ballentine, was born in Richland County and was a native of Ohio until he moved to DeKalb County, Indiana. My wife and I have been unable to locate James, or any other Ballentines, or variations, in Richland County. Maybe there is someone who can assist us.
