I've seen your family before and wondered about the name similarity as Harmon doesn't seem to be a very common name but I don't know of any connection. I have not been able to find the origins of William Adams, John's father, and it has been suggested by other researchers in my line that our Adams were from Germany but so far I have no proof of it. Do you have any further information on your Harmon's German origins? Maybe the families connect back in Germany. I see that your Harmon was only 6 or 7 when he came to US, do you have parents & siblings for him? My William Adams could be a brother of your Harmon's father.
