I was in Mansfield, Richland Co., last week to do research on my DILLER/LIME line and found the Local History Room in the Public Library very useful. They have newspapers on microfilm (only 3 readers tho' - and don't try to use the last one on the right.....), a nice collection of Richland Co. books and records, and a helpful staff. There is also the Richland Co., Genealogical Society on 7th and So. Main (very difficult to locate unless you're heading south on hiway 13!) They are open only until 5 and are closed Sun & Mon, so go there and the Courthouse on the Square early, and then hit the library - it's open til 9 pm. Watch the photocopier - it eats money if you put in a bunch of change to do alot of photocopying at one time. Sorry, I don't know anything about dog sitters - but do take a drive around town - they are doing alot of rennovation of *old* buildings - just watch out for a bunch of one-way streets. Hope you find alot of great info and have alot of fun!!!
