Smith was born in Dekalb, Ohio. I got the Info from his Military enlistment records from 1864. He was born in 1843 to James and Susana Smith. Then moved to Allen County Indiana, Lafayette Township before 1847 when Joseph was born. I am looking for Information on the parents, James and Susana. They had 14 children Surely there are others out there searching for this same family.
