Here is Tom's reply, some of you may be interested in this also. Margaret -------------------------------------------------- Margaret, We do not have the Mansfield Courier - the German newspaper - that early. We do have the following bound volumes: October 1880 - September 1881 October 1881 - September 1883 October 1883 - September 1886 October 1887 - September 1888 October 1891 - September 1892 October 1894 - September 1894 October 1900 - September 1902 October 1902 - September 1904 October 1906 - September 1907 October 1909 - September 1911 Our volumes were given to us by a donor who purchased them at the Black estate sale here in Mansfield. He was able to purchase about one-half of what was on the auction block. I do not know who purchased the remaining volumes. I saw one volume only listed on eBay about a year ago. I contacted Scott Schaut at the Mansfield Museum about this because we were in a spending freeze at that time and I could not bid. I don't know if Scott tried to get the volume or not. Perhaps the others will turn up in time. The Ohio Historical Society inventory the above and have shown an interest in filming it but their funding ran out with their last newspaper filming program. Currently, this newspaper title has not been filmed. I know of no other copies at this time. It is all in German. Thanks.
