I have tried searching a bit on the web and can't find anything. I do know they were both from MD and I also know Mary Ann Soper's mother was Ruth Barnes, also from MD. I would guess that if they are not brothers they were certainly related. But how?? You might try posting a query to the Barnes family forum to see if someone can help you there. Nancy
