Berlin - Dr. Herman Masuch, meteorologist, was found dead today in the wreckage of Germany's largest non-dirigible balloon "Bartsch von Segsfeld" 12 miles east of the Latvian town of Boenaburg, on Russian soil. The body of Dr. Franz Martin Schrenck, balloonist, with whom Masuch set out from here on Sunday for a flight into the upper air, was found ten miles from the wreckage. She typed in Martin Schrenk and it says there is a record there for that name in the Mansfield News, Mansfield, OH? Does anyone have ancestry.com with newspaper access. I would at least like to know a date when he is mentioned in Mansfield, Ohio. It is sometimes spelled Shrenk and Schrenck. He lived in Bucyrus about 1840 and Fremont in 1850 and Cleveland in 1880 but lost track of him after that. He was a store keeper and a newspaper printer and also a census taker. thanks for any help as I am stuck! ==== OHRICHLA Mailing List ==== To search previous posts made to the Richland Co. list, check out http://listsearches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl?list=OHRICHLA
