I am researching Maude Della Gatton. Married in Richland County, Ohio to John Weisbarth in about 1954. Her death certificate states she was a widower burial is at Mansfield Cemetery. Her father's name is Letts, her mother is Dora Browmeller. I'm related to Maude through marriage. Maude married Beach W. Gatton who is related to the Gatton family of the Nursery and Landscape business (Wade & Gatton). Beach Gatton was born 2 March 1895 and died 27 February 1952, he is the son of James A. Gatton and Elva Alice Hildenbrand. James Gatton is the son of Aaron Gatton and Mary Jane Shivley, Aaron is the son of Thomas Gatton and Sarah Gatton (cousins). Cyrus Gatton was the original owner and was a well known story-teller, much of which was published in the Mansfield news papers. I recall Maude telling me that her first husband Beach, was a company book-keeper, now that I'm researching I find some indication that at one time he may have also been a barber. Maude owned and operated a store located on the Mansfield square which offered a hat blocking service, shoe-shine parlor along with newspapers, cigars and sundries items. She was a very pleasant, well-kept, attractive widow woman in the 1950's when my grandfather courted her.
