Looking for Samuel Mitchell, married to Elizabeth Hannah Rose: Their son Samuel Mitchell Jr. married to Eliza Baggs: They had eight children I believe.....Sam Jr had two by a previous marriage.....looking for info on that marriage and anything on David Benton Mitchell, Sam's eldest son. Family lore says he went to Hawaii and became superintendent of schools in Honolulu and made a fortune in sugar stock. He was in the 1880 census at 40 years of age and still at home with the family. I have some Samuel MITCHELL Sr. and descendent data you may want to look at but figured I should ask first - it is 56 pages long including references and would be quite an Email. I show Jr b 24 Dec1804 in PA, d 19 Jun 1880 and m Eliza Baggs b abt 1805 d bef 2 Jul 1860. I do not have data on a second wife. I show children Elizabeth, David Benton, Isabell, James, John, Isaac, Schela (??), another Elizabeth, and Joseph. Next to no data on these kids. I put this together a few years ago for a cousin's husband - Sr is the 3rd G-Gfather of this guy. Let me know if you want the Sr data plus refs, without refs, or if you want Andrew ROSE data as well. Very interested in the Mitchell family. We have a brick wall...Mary Sabina Mitchell, born in 1842 PA and married to Solomon Joseph Peterson in 1859 in Richland County, Ohio. The Petersons were old pioneers to Richland County, Monroe township about 1810. They had children which may have a clue as to who Mary's parents were: John Charles Peterson, Wade Hampton Peterson, Franklin Emerson Peterson, and Isaac Oliver Peterson (the boys)...also they had 5 daughters. The boys names usually carry the grandparents names on, so that is why I listed them here. If you hear of a Mary Sabina Mitchell in your listing, please, please let me know. She was my direct gr. gr. grandmother and I want to fill in her tree very badly.
