Our paternal ancestor John Griggs Peterson married Mary "Polly" Vail and was an original pioneer and settler in Richland/Ashland County, Monroe Township, circa 1810. You will find a wealth of information on the Peterson (early Dutch family); Vail/Archer/Mitchell and Guthrie families of Richland and Ashland Counties of Ohio.
