In the midst of the numerous exchanges I have had on this topic, 2 ideas have emerged that I wanted to share with the whole list: 1. I don't know what it would take, but it would be great if all of us genealogists could get it organized so that the various county or State genealogical societies could film the records and put them all online. Of course, I know that even many of these societies won't put the records they DO have online because then THEY can't charge for them! 2. The Richland County GenWeb site is one of the best for any county in the country, and Amy posts all kinds of things there. I bet that if we all sent her scans of the certificates we already have, she would post them and that would help others. Who knows, we might even build up a great resource. Cheers, Jim Boyce
