>From the Richland Shield & Banner, Friday, 09 February 1900, page unknown: "BODY OF DESSIE SMITH TO BE EX- HUMED AND EXAMINED Coroner Bushnell and Dr. Davis went to Windsor at noon today where the body of Dessie Smith will be exhumed and an examination made to determine the cause of her death. DIVORCE GRANTED Lilly Morton was granted a divorce in probate court this morning from David G. Morton. They reside in Perry township and were married Feb. 17, 1898. Plaintiff was allowed reasonable alimony and the custody of their child Guy Dewey Morton. C. B. Hines for plaintiff. ISSAC BOYCE DEAD Isaac Boyce who lived north of the city, died Thursday night. He was 87 years of age and leaves a wife and several children. The funeral will be held at 11 oçlock Sunday morning at Windsor Branch church. [I am reasonably certain that this is actually the obituary of Isaiah Boyce of Franklin Twp., despite the 2 misspellings of his first name. I assume the Windsor Branch church mentioned here would have been a Baptist church at Windsor, although he was buried next to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church across the street from his home. Any ideas on this?] MAY BE SENSATIONAL Miss Jennie Rose, 23 years of age, died Thursday night at the home of her brother, 103 Daisy. The body will be taken to Glenmont Saturday morning for burial Sensational developements [sic] may follow.
