Regarding an obit for Stanley D. Kelly: You might try calling the Oakland Cemetery Sexton, 116 1/2 S Gamble St, Shelby, OH 44875 at (419) 347-1935 to see if they have a copy of an obit or can give you the name of the funeral home that handled the burial to call and see if they have a copy of an obituary. The Shelby Globe may have done an obit, so you could contact the Marvin Memorial Library to see if they would check the newspaper for that time period.

Creigh who lived in Franklin for the 1830 census. He married Lydia Lock in Mansfield Oct 5, 1823. He is also found on the 1840 census. He was born about 1798 in Maryland. There are several other Creigh families living in the area. David and John Thomas whom I suspect are his brothers. I found a land patent for CREIGH, JOHN T OH Crawford 8/6/1834 Wooster 2931 OH0570__.455 CREIGH, SAMUEL A OH Crawford 8/6/1834 Wooster 2729 OH0570__.253 for Crawford County, both issued the same day.Both list Richland County as their residence. I think John moved to Morrow County, Samuel moved with his family to Indiana in 1844. I am also trying to identify Lydia's father. ASHLAND -- Warren H. Strickling, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007, at Kingston of Ashland Nursing Services. On March 4, 1921, in Ashland, Ohio, Mr. Strickling was born to the late Alexander Sweeney and Bertha Trader Strickling. He had been a lifelong resident of Ashland County working at Mansfield Tire for 20 years. Formerly Mr. Strickling was a licensed physical therapist in the Ashland area during the 1940s and 50s. He enjoyed flea markets and was a musician in numerous bands. On May 23, 1943, Mr. Strickling married Evelyn M. Wolfe, who preceded him in 1995. Mr. Strickling was also preceded by 12 siblings. Surviving Mr. Strickling are a son, Stanley Strickling of Ashland; a grandson, Todd (Wendy) Strickling of Jeromesville; a granddaughter, Angie (Alan) Smith-Dail of Wooster; eight great-grandchildren; a sister of the Norwalk area; and his extended family of Mark and Jamey Roland, Melissa Brockway, and Nicole Roland, all of Ashland. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, conducted by Pastor Wayne Mullet, with interment at Ashland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr., Ashland, Ohio 44805.
