Mattie and Norman had a son named William Cloyd Wise how was a lawyer and a judge in CA. and another son named Norman R Snyder who lived in Altoona, PA. Mattie is said to have had six children and to have died in Mansfield. I am wondering if anyone has any information on this family? I would greatly appreciate it.

Elizabeth (Mary Elizabeth)'s parents, according to the 1907 Greene Co, IA History were Richard & Margaret (Myers) Simmons who were both natives of Virginia. This family went from Richland Co, OH to Cedar Co, IA in 1854 and then later settled in Jones Co, IA. Could this Richard Simmons and Margaret Myers be the same people as Richard Beaman Simmons and Mary Myers? If not, do they connect to the family in some other way? She was born Sept 13, 1903 in Butler, but for the past seven years she had resided in Mansfield. She was a member of the Methodist Protestant church at Butler. On Jan 24 1925, she was married to Ray Adams. Her husband, parents Mr and Mrs PW Taylor Butler; five sisters, Edna, Geraldine, Marie and Audrey Jean of Butler and Florence of Mansfield; two brothers Kenneth of New Concord and George of Butler survive. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday at the Wappner Funeral home. Rev JW Rice pastor of the Butler Methodist Protestant church will officiate. Burial will be made in Mansfield Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the Wappner Funeral home.
