Clayton b.2Feb1863 either Cabery, IL or Ohio possibly Noble Co., Ohio. Her mother was Ellen Chadwick of Chester, PA b. in Wales and father John Clayton b.1818, Lancaster, England....he d.1871, Ford Co., IL buried Cabery (Ford), IL (Clayton Cemetary) and was a farmer. Mary Clayton was a nurse in the Kankakee Mental Institution and m.9Feb1863 to Frederick Hinkson Bonsall - from an old PA family. He was in butchering and dissappeared in 1892 when he went west with a big roll of $ to purchase cattle. My grandmother was only 7 when he left. It is and remains a family mystery. Also, sadly Mary died w/daughter Mrytle, new baby, husband and possibly other children from a train accident when their auto stalled abt. 1917 outside LaPorte, IN. Any info would be greatly appreciated and I am happy to share what I have also...Thank you, Margo

Good evening.........just was wondering if Richland County has a group of books that lists cemeteries & who's buried in them.....this would be divided by townships. Have seen them for Franklin & Fairfield Cos....... Looking for a relative that was buried in Mansfield in 1926. Thank you for any help that you can give. Linda

I could use advice. I thought I had seen references to probate records for Nicholas Trucks (Trux) who died in 1815 in Richland Co. and for William Trucks Sr. who died in 1831. I sent to the Richland County Court of Common Pleas and they responded that there were no such records. Have I gone about this the wrong way? Are older records somewhere else?
Does anyone have a transcription of Shaver Cemetery? If so would you be willing to lookup some information for me? Melissa

My dad's uncle was Courtney Allen who was a High School teacher in Mansfield. I was wondering if anyone remembers him. Also Courtney's daughter, Lucille Chalker, was murdered by her ex-husband Edward Koellish on December 30, 1951. Does anyone remember her, the murder, or her daughter who was 14 at the time. I do not know what her name was but her last name was likely Chalker and was a daughter by Lucille's first marriage. Thanks, Steve
