Hi Charles and Amy, Thanks for the info on the Boston Restaurant. I have all my Mom's diaries from 1938-1998. She mentions the Boston a lot. I have a menu from, I think the Boston, but all it has inside is "The Center" and Make mine Ruppert beer. If this sounds like the Boston, let me know. Anyway it is dated during the war and asks everyone be mindful of the rationing of certain foods. Really a neat menu for the time. If it is the Boston and everyone wants, I can send pictures to Amy. Everyone have a safe Memorial weekend coming up. Remember those who have served us! Peggy ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

Amy, my email is still the same and I am still interested in Cole, Kistler, Ferguson and Haverfield, mostly. Due to my husband's serious illness I don't have too much time to do much genealogy these days, but am still interested. And I very much appreciate your amazing efforts and achievements for Richland County! Does anyone know if these Weirick men were brothers? Well, - Peter WEIRICK assigned land in Section 18 of Jefferson Twp. to John WEIRICK - according to page 428 of Graham's 1880 History of Richland County, voters in Jefferson Twp. election of April 1816 included Peter WEIRICK in Section 8 and John WEIRICK in Section 17 on adjacent properties. Both are said to have come from Maryland in 1809. (Interestingly, the land on which Peter WEIRICK was living at that time is not recorded to have been sold until 15 July of 1816, and then to Samuel HARMON, and the land on which John WEIRICK was then living is recorded as first sold on 28 May 1817 to Enoch OGLE, who later relinquished it and John WEYRICK of Richland Co. is recorded as the first purchaser, on 31 May 1826, sale finalized on 20 July 1826 (I missed this in my earlier survey of original land purchases. - the earliest sale of land I can find to Peter WEIRICK is on 14 January 1815 (the SE 1/4 of Section 27 of Troy Twp.), and there he is recorded as being from Belmont Co., Ohio. - Peter WEIRICK died in early 1868 or late 1867, as his will was entered for probate on 10 February 1868. He names his wife Catherine, grandson Thomas J. GRUB, granddaughters Sarah ILER & Hannah ILER (sisters of Thomas GRUB), and children Valentine, Jacob, Peter, Joseph, Isaac, John, Sarah, Elizebeth FINFROCK [sic], and Mary. - According to page 429 of Graham's History, John WEIRICK was still living in 1869, age 67, but now he is recorded as having come in 1812 from Ohio. - John WEIRICK's will was written 21 April 1872 and entered into probate 29 August 1872. He names only his wife Mary. His will was witnessed by Peter WEIRICK, presumably the son of the other Peter WEIRICK, who died in 1867/8. - Among the obits on the RCO GenWeb site is one for Peter WEIRICK of Perry Twp., who died in 1882, having come to Richland county with his parents in 1810 or 1811. His wife was also named Catherine (HUNTSMAN). I know that none of this answers the question, but maybe it will help somehow. The obvious question in my mind is: did both John and Peter WEIRICK marry women named Catherine, and was Mary John's 2nd wife? Or is Sharon's John WEIRICK a different person entirely?
