> Hello Kathy, > > You committed one of the most common newbie errors in genealogy. > You find good info but forget to jot down where you found it. ..........< Dear Bill And Loydean, Boy, that was spoken like a veteran! I sure have learned my lesson. Four weeks ago I never dreamed I'd be this far into it and so knee-deep in papers! I can say without a doubt I'll be making good notations everywhere now! A fellow Redfield researcher told me (about a week after I had all that good census info written down, without writing down where I found it) "Sources are the heart and soul of your genealogy work" and now I understand what she meant. To all the other newbies out there.........WRITE IT DOWN! Unfortunately, I still cannot locate that wonderful place I found my folks. Guess the library will be seeing me very soon! Thanks, though, to everyone who sent the links. If those Redfields and Jeromes are on in it, I sure can't retrace my steps to find it. I even searched through the "History" button on my browser, going link by link through the last four weeks. Sure am scratching my head on this one, but if nothing else, I am persistent. I'll find it!
