Here are some misc. people I dug up when I went searching at OHS: LIST OF CITIZENS OF COLUMBIANA CO, OH -Butler Twp: James A. Kerr, son of John & Sarah (Shisler) Kerr, born Butler Twp 1836, farmer -Centre Twp: William Kerr, son of James & Mary (McClellan) Kerr, born Columbiana Co 1822, farmer. -Perry Twp & Salem Twp: W.H. Koll, son of Daniel & Julia Koll, born New Brighton, PA, S. Salem 1844, manufacturer. -Perry Twp & Salem Twp: W.C. Kerr, son of William & Mary Kerr, born Butler Twp 1824, farmer. -Washington Twp: Samuel C. Kerr, son of William & Eleanor (Clark) Kerr, born Columbiana Co 1831, S.Washington Twp 1873, farmer. -Washington Twp: William W. Orr, son of Samuel W. and Anne R. (Woodbridge) Orr, born St. Louis, MO 1832, lawyer. -Goshen Twp, Mahoning: Isaac R. Carr, son of Isaac & Ann (Craft) Carr, born Mt. Holly, NJ S. Goshen 1826, farmer. -------------- article #1 ------------ Isaac Car born in NJ Nov 4 1796 married Ann Crew in 1815 and moved to OH. Children were Samuel, George W., Isaac R., R.F., Thomas, Elizabeth, J.M. He was a farmer who died June 3 1873. Mrs. Carr died Aug 27, 1859. His son, Isaac R. married Isabella Crew. -------------- article #2 ------------ James Kerr, native of Berkeley Co, WV, emigrated to Allegheny Co, PA in 1790 and to Columbiana Co, OH in 1808. He died in 1810. His son, William Kerr was born in Allegheny Co, PA Feb 12 1795, came to Washington Twp in 1808. He served 36 years as Justice of the Peace. He was a farmer an married Miss Eleanor Clark (born 1805) on May 1826. They had James P, Samuel C, Hannah, Sarah L, Mary M, Leah B, Delilah C, William M, Fayett. Granson, Samuel Kerr, born Jan 13 1831 in Saline Twp, married Miss Frances J. Milner Nov 3 1859 who died Dec 17 1860. He then married Miss Mary Clark on Oct 1868. They were member of Prebyt. church. They had one child together, John Fayette, born Nov 22 1869. -------------- article #3 ------------ Michael C. and Nancy Ann (Anderson) Kerr are natives of Beaver Co, PA. Michael was born Feb 6 1819 and died 1901. Nancy was born Jul 10 1825 and died 1910. Their son, Thomas Jefferson Kerr, was a farmer until 1881 when he went to Missouri, then in 1886 returned to Shippingport PA to have a sawmill/lumbering business with his brother, Michael J., who died in 1912. Thomas Jefferson Kerr's son, T. Burton Kerr, married Myrle Fisher and had a son, William Floyd. He then later married Mary Williams on Feb. 26 1924. -------------- article #4 ------------ Andrew T. Kerr, native of Belfast, Ireland, born 1816, landed at Philadelphia in 1839. He married Elizabeth Barr in 1840 and had: John L, Thomas B, Elizabeth (who marred Jos. George Kohl, son of Gorg & Magdalena (Bunsch) marr Aug 24 1780, PA archives, 6th series. Samuel Carr married Patiance Thomas Feb 7 1815 at Goshen. Thomas Carl has will dated Mar 23 1853 in Atwater Twp, Portage Co PCHS #1159. Thomas Carl has will dated Aug 10 1866 in Edinburg Twp, Portage Co PCHS #1883. -------------- misc census names ------------ Plain Twp, Stark Co, 1830 census: Tobias Crall Sugar Creek Twp, Stark Co, 1830 census: David Carl Logan Creek Twp, Stark Co, 1830 census: Saml Coll or Holl Portage Co 1830 census: Samuel and Israel Col or Coll or Coil Suffield Twp, Portage Co 1830 census: Samuel Carl Suffield Twp, Portage Co 1840 census: Samuel Carl - --------------------------------------------------------- Samuel GARL, father of Mrs. PRESSLER, was born in Springfield twp, Summit Co, OH July 22, 1818 and his wife, a daughter of David and Elizabeth (WALTERS) WYRICK, was born in PA August 27 1817….died Mar 31 1872. Rueben Garl, grandfather of Mrs. Pressler, was a native of PA, and early settled in Ohio, purchasing a farm in the south part of Springfield twp, Summit Co. He was twice married, and there were born to his first union seven children: Jacob, Benjamin, Catherine (marr. Benjamin SWINEHART), Mary (marr. Joseph MISHLER), Samuel (mentioned earlier, Mrs. PONTIUS and Mrs. BRUMBAUGH. To his second marriage with Mrs. SHICK, was born one son. -------- Portage Co.
