George CARTER is the son of James CARTER b 1733 MD/VA, d 1850 with burial near Deerfield, Portage Co, OH and Elizabeth (Betsey) McCLAIRTY (or variant of surname) b 1782 MD/PA and d 1853 with burial near Deerfield, Portage Co, OH ; m 7 Mar 1799 believe MD; George b 17 Apr 1800 believe MD was the first born of thirteen children. My direct line is Eleanor that married Thomas BEST who died at and is buried at Deerfield, Portage Co, OH. She was a sister of Elizabeth McCLAIRTY that married James CARTER.
