    3. Nancy, I just returned from Portage and took photos of the Mott graves in Riverside, Fairview and Mottown. Can give you date I got off graves. When I get photos back can scan them into e-mail if you are interested. Also, there is a grave stone from the American Revolution in the tiny Mottown Cemetery so it is an old and still in use cemetery. It was my favorite little cemetery of the bunch. Be sure to go to the Portage County Historical Society at 6549 St. Rt. 44 in Ravenna if you want copies of Cemetery listings and location of Mott grave stone. They were most helpful. It is only open from 2 to 4 Tues & Thurs. Besides the county information, the genealogy club or whatever stores their records there as well. It is well worth the visit. The Ezekiel Mott I have listed in the Riverside Cemetery, which we didn't visit does not have dates but lists his wife as Nancy who died Mar 13, 1851 at age 50. I have reason to believe Ezekiel and Nancy may be the parents of Jackson A. Mott and probably John Mott. John and Jackson both fought in the Civil war. Jackson is my husband's great grandfather and he and his son Darius and Grandson George are all buried in the Fairview Cemetery. However, George and Darius's grave stones were fairly well hidden under an evergreen shrub right next to Jackson's grave. If any of the above connections make any sense to you, or if you have any proof of the Jackson Motts parentage, please let me know. I've been at a dead end with Jackson Andrew Mott for about 2 years. I remember seeing the McKelvey name but didn't know it might be connected to the Mott line. If you happen to get over to Summit County I need an 1860 Census page looked up for an unreadable surname of who may have become Jackson Mott's wife. I'd be glad to share any information I have if it will help. Keep in touch. Would expect he would be buried in Deerfield Cemetery. I believe Mottown Cemetery did not exist until 1879 therefore too late for him to be buried there. > > Also looking for grave of Jane McKelvey Mott (d. 16 Nov. 1838). Hoping to photograph all family head and foot stones.
